Orr Park Tree Carvings

Orr Park is Alabama's Forest Faces. This is Tinglewood, named for Tim Tingle, a local artist specializing in wood carvings. Mr. Tingle has sprinkled Orr Park with magic in the form of over thirty sculptures carved into the bark of old cedar trees. Many take the form of old men, wizards, and Indian chieftains, their wizened faces smiling or frowning as per their moods, carved into the sides of trees and old stumps. Ribault Monument

The beautiful Pensacola Lighthouse has towered over Pensacola Bay since 1858 and is still in use today. The historic lighthouse is a major Florida landmark.

The lighthouse is located on the grounds of Naval Air Station Pensacola, home to the Blue Angels. The original 1824 lighthouse site is next to the Navy Lodge, located between the 1858 lighthouse and Fort Barrancas. In 1998, before an addition to the lodge was made, a team of archaeologists was brought in to recover any artifacts from the site of the original lighthouse and dwelling. A published report indicates that glass, keys, latches, toys, and hairpins, all thought to be associated with the original lighthouse were discovered at the site.

Over the years since the Civil War, the Pensacola Lighthouse has been struck by lightning, raged against by hurricanes and even shaken by an earthquake. It survived it all, however, and remains in use today.

Although the light itself is now automated, some say that it is not entirely silent at night. Popular Pensacola legend holds that the lighthouse is haunted by a number of ghosts, among them a runaway slave who once hid there as well as the restless spirit of a murder victim. The Pensacola Lighthouse has been featured on the popular television program "Ghost Hunters."

A pair of very comfortable shoes is very essential to a trip. I often bring more than 2 pairs of shoes whenever we go out of town. The type of shoes that I bring depends on our destination. Flip flops is also something that I wear everyday so I also make sure that I bring one.

I am glad that I found a place to buy wholesale shoes that is priced reasonably. I love wearing branded shoes but its price is really beyond my budget that is why I also buy the not so famous brands. As long as it is comfortable to wear, it is all good to me.

Some of my friends are going for a road trip this summer. When schools will be out they will be going to a road trip. They invited us but we decline as our car is not prepared for a road trip. Our car is small and although well maintained, we are not sure if it is practical to drive it across the USA.

Getting Back from a Trip

Travel is always makes you feel refreshed and recharge. A travel is supposed to get your mind off the stress of your daily grinds. Whenever our family go to some place is somewhere, we always feel light and happy after that. But wherever we go, we are always glad to be back home.

During our recent one month vacation to Philippines, we really enjoyed it but when it was time to get back, I couldn't wait to come home to our own place. I was very happy to see Mom Lori and Dan who picked us up in the airport. They brought me a fresh bouquet of flowers to welcome me back. That was a very sweet gesture.

Speaking of flowers, did you know that girls can never resist receiving a bouquet of fresh flower? Well, at least not me. Receiving fresh flowers always brightens my mood. Hammocks in the beach are awesome. It feels so nice to just lay in the hammock feeling the cool breeze blowing while listening to the waves. It is a perfect place to feel relaxed and enjoy life without worries.

Anyway, I found some portable hammock chairs that I want to buy. These will be perfect to bring to the beach or to install in your swimming pools. These hammock chairs will also be perfect for the porch or to bring when you go camping.

The U.S. Department of State alerts U.S. citizens traveling to, or living in, Guinea-Bissau to the continuing possibility of sporadic unrest following reports of fighting and violence in Bissau, as a result of an attempted coup d’état. The travel warning was issue last April 13, 2012.

Radio and television are reportedly off the air, and military forces are attempting to restrict movement. The airport was closed on April 13, and its future operating status is not known. U.S. citizens are urged to shelter in place and avoid the downtown area of Bissau.

I am a mom and I know the feeling when your kids are away. I am sure that when my little girl will grow up she will go to places with her friends. To be honest, I have not seen a live concert in any concert halls. I know sounds pathetic but that is the truth. I have seen recorded concerts and those concerts that are shown in TV.

Doing a concert needs a lot of preparation. You have to prepare for your performance and you have to prepare the stage. There are plenty of stage preparations to do including the lights. When in concert, different music instruments are being used. I am sure that big concerts uses SilverFox Drums.
